Work with a group of exceptionally talented artists and animators creating animations that complement and enhance the slot player’s experience. The ability to work quickly and efficiently as part of a team, take direction, and maintain a positive attitude under pressure is crucial.Job ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with the game artist to conceptualize and create compelling 2D/3D animations, visual effects, and motion graphics for game logos, symbols, backgrounds, and featuresWork closely with the software engineer to prepare final animations in formats necessary for integration into the gameUnderstand and resolve technical issues relating to graphics (e.g., rendering, streaming, memory management, playback performance, etc.)Communicate with the game designer and development team in an iterative development processMentor junior animators in related studios and throughout Game DevelopmentMaintain well-organized working files to facilitate file sharing and collaborative workArchive all final working files for future use using version control software5+ years of professional experience in 2D/3D animation and/or motion graphic designGaming industry experience is preferred, but not requiredQualificationsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities Enjoy working in a creative environmentHave a strong sense of design, motion, and timingHave a strong sense of animatics and storyboarding for 2D/3D animationAbility to work well with others in a team environmentAbility to receive art direction and provide multiple design solutionsAbility to adapt to new technologiesProficient in Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator Proficiency in 3D animation a plusProficiency in compositing and rotoscoping a plusFamiliarity with Unity a plusFamiliarity with shaders and shader creation/coding a plusEducation Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience requiredPhysical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
