Job Description HumanHire is partnered with a top national Law Firm looking to add an Accounting Specialist to their growing team in Atlanta. The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for accurately and efficiently applying client payments to accounts, researching payment discrepancies, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate financial records.
We Offer: - Pay: $65-75K Base plus OT and Bonus
- Hybrid Flexibility: 2 days remote weekly

Responsibilities: - Process and accurately apply incoming client payments to the appropriate invoices and client/matter accounts.
- Review and reconcile daily cash receipts, electronic payments, wires, ACH transactions, and checks.
- Research unidentified and unapplied cash and work with internal teams and clients to determine proper allocation.
- Identify and resolve payment discrepancies, short payments, overpayments, duplicate payments, and other account variances.
- Maintain accurate records of cash applications and ensure transactions are properly documented.
- Reconcile client accounts and assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
Qualifications: - 3+ years of Accounting or Billing experience within a Law Firm
- Proficiency in various accounting softwares and Excel (Aderant preferred)
